The Lindbergh Schools Foundation currently
manages the funds and/or administers the selection process for more than 45 scholarships that are awarded to LHS seniors each year.
In 2019, more than 50 students received a total of more than $56,000 in scholarships to help them further their education. The original LSF General Scholarship is awarded each year to the student who, based on his or her application essay, has overcome the most significant challenges and hardships during high school. The other scholarships are established by or in the name of former administrators, teachers, coaches and alumni.
All applications are due back in the Guidance Office
no later than 3 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2020
There are several ways that the Foundation obtains funding for scholarships.
Spirit Bricks – The sale of Spirit Bricks engraved with a personalized
tribute for the LHS Spirit Garden located near the Lindbergh High
School's Flyer Field complex
Direct Donations – Contributions from individuals and groups

CREATING A NEW SCHOLARSHIP
The advantages of creating a scholarship fund through LSF or the LHS
Alumni Association (a partner of LSF) stem in part from the Lindbergh Schools Foundation’s status as an independent, tax exempt, 501(c)3 organization. This means that all donations to any scholarship account are tax exempt.
In addition, scholarship funds are carefully and conservatively invested in a wide variety of financial vehicles. LSF’s Investment Policy Statement clarifies this further.
